Handmade Copper Enamel Earrings
Inspired by a walk through a garden in its last, showiest weeks, these handmade copper enamel earrings pair a soft blend of teal, lime and raspberry with fine black dahlia linework. Each pair is torch-fired in my studio in Cobh, East Cork, using vitreous enamel powders on copper, so the colour melts and pools differently every time.
The black dahlia pattern is a decal, heat-treated over the enamel for crisp detail against the speckled colour beneath. The lower half of each round drop is left as bare, textured copper with a crosshatch finish, so the warm metal sits right beside the glossy glass. A small teal glass bead sits at the top of each earring to pick up the palette.
Lightweight, statement-making and one of a kind, these are handcrafted Irish enamel earrings for anyone who likes their jewellery colourful, textured and a little bit botanical.
Dimensions: almost 6cm from lobe. Because each piece is fired by hand, no two pairs are identical.
