Copper Orbit | Hand Hammered Copper & Blue Enamel Earrings | Handmade in East Cork, Ireland

A little world of colour, held in a ring of hand-hammered copper. These handmade copper earrings have a 3cm hammered copper ring with a 2cm torch-fired enamel disc that swings freely inside it, like a small orbit.

The vitreous enamel layers soft lavender blue over vivid electric blue for a speckled, sky-like finish, and a swirl of green and black glass frit sits at its centre. No two discs fire exactly alike, so every pair is one of a kind. The ring is hammered by hand and finished with a ridged, sun-ray texture that catches the light. The enamel is torch-fired on copper in my studio near Cobh, East Cork.

They hang from gold-tone ear wires and are light enough to wear all day.
