Queen Maeve of Connacht was said to wear her wealth for all to see, and these earrings borrow that spirit. They're a mix of metals: torch-fired copper, textured aluminium and gold-tone wires, all in one bold, long drop.
I make each pair by hand in my studio near Cobh, East Cork. The copper discs are coated in vitreous enamel and fired with a torch, so the colour pools and speckles in the flame and no two pairs are exactly alike. Below each disc hangs a textured aluminium drop with a hammered or linear finish that catches the light. Aluminium keeps these statement earrings light enough to wear all day and into the night.
two variations available
1/Cool Turquoise: deep turquoise enamel flecked with silvery speckles, over a hammered, leaf-shaped aluminium drop.
2/ Warm Copper Blush: warm copper melting into a pearly, rose-tinged finish, over a kite-shaped aluminium drop with a fine linear texture.
Torch-fired copper enamel discs, textured aluminium drops, gold-tone ear wires
Total length: 2.5" (6.3 cm)
